The village of Apolakias is located on the south western side of the island of Rhodes about 70km away from Rhodes town.
Apolakias is a small working village. Near Apolakia village there is an important project in the development of the region, the Apolakia dam it is artificial lake and have created a amazing biotope with many birds watchers visiting the dam, a natural reserve, shelter for numerous species of bird and animal life unique on the island.
