Tourist arrivals in Rhodes rose per 11.45 pct in July, compared with the same period last year. These really satisfactory figures were released by the island's airport and prove that arrivals with charter flights in July were 308,536, while 276,840 in July 2009.

Rhodes seems to be the Queen of the Greek islands this year with many foreign tourists such as German, Italian, Swedish and Russians choosing to visit the wonderful sandy beaches and the picturesque villages of the island for their vacation.. Many tourists came also from United Kingdom and Israel. A decline was noticed in the Holland and Norway markets along with many places in Eastern Europe. Good news for the domestic tourism as well, as it rose per 16.93 in July, compared with last year!  

These figures are really satisfatoctory not only for the island of Rhodes but for the whole country, as this is the only island which is really famous and is on the first rank of preference of many people in and out Greece, in the middle of the fiscal crisis
